Saudi Aid Platform

About

Share the page

Since its establishment, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has shared its blessings amongst its citizens as well as others throughout the world through its humanitarian, developmental and charitable contributions. Grants and concessional loans have been awarded to countries without discrimination regardless of race, color, or religion. The Kingdom has always been one of the top ten countries in the world in providing aid.

To highlight the Kingdom's efforts internationally and to preserve its rights to philanthropy like any other major donor country, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques issued a Royal Decree No. 41555 dated 10/9/1438, directing KSrelief to establish a database platform to reflect all of the Kingdom's foreign aid efforts in coordination with the relevant Saudi entities.

KSrelief developed the platform to register projects and humanitarian, developmental and charitable contributions based on the international standards of the United Nations Financial Tracking System, DAC-OECD and the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI). The Kingdom’s foreign aid is provided in the form of cash, in-kind grants and concessional loans to promote sustainable Development. It also includes commitments and disbursements. Saudi entities were trained to classify and input foreign aid into the platform since the establishment of the Kingdom up to now.
